WHO meteorologist Jason Parkin disclosed a Parkinson's disease diagnosis, the same week as colleague Jeriann Ritter's ALS; he will emcee the APDA Iowa Optimism Walk on Sept. 19 and leads a fundraising team, 'The Cumulonimbros', aiming for $7,500 (63% raised as of Aug. 20). He stresses exercise and treatment options and says he wants to raise awareness and support for research.
