Windows 11 Update Sparks Cursor Chaos and Defender False Alarms
Windows 11 users report two issues after the August 27 update: Defender Antivirus may incorrectly claim it’s turned off despite active protection, while cursor and appearance changes have been observed. Microsoft has acknowledged the Defender bug and is investigating, with some users finding the cursor problem temporarily resolved by uninstalling the update; there is currently no official workaround, but a Defender fix is expected in a future update.
