Fatal Officer-Involved Shootings in Wisconsin Counties
A Wisconsin police officer fatally shot an armed motorist who had fled a traffic stop and approached officers, after a pursuit and the use of a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle. The motorist had called 911 to report having a gun before being shot by the officer. The Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation into the shooting, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative duty.
