ArsenalBio pivots to in vivo CAR-T, slashing most of its staff
ArsenalBio is laying off 99 employees—the majority of its workforce—and halting ex vivo clinical development as it pivots to in vivo CAR-T therapy, aiming to leverage its T cell biology expertise while seeking strategic options for its assets. The move follows a prior round of downsizing and a $325 million funding haul with backing from Bristol Myers Squibb and Regeneron and a Genentech partnership; AB-2100 has been dropped from the pipeline, which now includes AB-3028 (early clinical-stage prostate cancer) and AB-7000 (preclinical).
