Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Monroe County.
A 55-year-old woman from Detroit was struck and killed by a semi truck while walking in the right lane of Telegraph Road in Ash Township, Michigan. The driver of the semi truck attempted to swerve out of the way but was unable to avoid hitting the woman. The driver was not injured and speed and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the crash. Monroe County and Michigan State Police officials are investigating the incident.
