"Record-Breaking Dodgers vs. Giants Game Makes MLB History for Asian-American Managers"
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and acting San Francisco Giants skipper Kai Correa made history as the first managers of Asian descent to face each other in any of the four major U.S. sports. The Dodgers defeated the Giants 6-2, with Freddie Freeman hitting his 59th double of the season and J.D. Martinez hitting a three-run homer. The Giants fired manager Gabe Kapler earlier in the day. Roberts and Correa exchanged lineup cards and expressed mutual respect for each other's achievements as Asian American managers.
