
Violent Attacks and Carjacking Plague Chicago's Asian Community
Three women in crime-ridden Chicago were caught on camera beating a 61-year-old Asian man with a metal pipe before carjacking him. The victim, Danxin Shi, a rideshare driver, is now unable to work as his vehicle was stolen. The incident occurred in broad daylight, with the women attacking Shi and stealing his car while he was walking along the street. Despite suffering scratches, Shi managed to avoid serious injuries. No arrests have been made, and the assault highlights the increasing crime rates in Chicago, which have risen by 34 percent compared to 2022 and 82 percent compared to 2021.
