Windows 11 Patch Disables USB Audio on Select PCs
Microsoft confirms the September 2026 Windows 11 security update KB5124008 can break audio output on USB Audio Class 1.0 devices, causing no sound or Code 10 errors; some devices regain audio by forcing a 2-channel stereo mode instead of multichannel, but a full fix is pending and the impact varies by device. This issue adds to a pattern of post-update Windows 11 bugs and ongoing concerns about update quality.
