Adventurer's Passion Proves Fatal in Avalanche Tragedies.
Joel Shute, a 36-year-old skier and lover of adventure, was buried in an avalanche in Colorado and recovered the next day. Shute's family and friends remember him as someone who lived life to the fullest, always seeking new adventures with his dog Bomba by his side. He was a trained and smart adventurer who was aware of avalanche dangers. His family has started a GoFundMe to donate proceeds to a local search and rescue organization and associated emergency services.
