Six Programs Honored by TV Academy for Driving Social Change
The Television Academy announced the 19th Television Academy Honors, recognizing six programs (Adolescence; Deaf President Now!; Dying for Sex; Heated Rivalry; Seen & Heard: The History of Black Television; South Park) that use storytelling to advance social change. The honorees—spanning Netflix, Apple TV, FX/Hulu, HBO Max, and Comedy Central—address topics from online misogyny and disability rights to racism and political satire, with a 2025 air showcase and a ceremony set for May 20, 2026 at the Saban Media Center.
