Tragic Loss: Father Drowns Saving Daughters in Pond Rescue
A 46-year-old man from Hope, Maine, drowned while attempting to rescue his daughters who had fallen into deeper water at Ayer Park in Union. Despite efforts from his 27-year-old son, who managed to save the girls, the father could not be found. The Maine Warden Dive Team located the man a few hours later, about 50 feet from shore. The daughters and son were taken to a medical center for observation.
