Anthropic Enables Claude to Run in the Background on Mac for Pro Users
Anthropic has added background computing for Claude on macOS, available to Pro and Max customers via Claude Code and Claude Cowork, allowing Claude to click, type, and open apps on your desktop while you work. It follows a similar background-use feature earlier rolled out by OpenAI for Mac apps, and represents a significant multitasking capability for Claude on the Mac.
