BAE Systems has agreed to acquire Ball Corporation's aerospace business for $5.6 billion, expanding its presence in the US defense market. The deal will strengthen BAE's position in the aerospace sector and provide opportunities for growth in areas such as space and missile defense.
India has filed a criminal complaint against British aerospace companies Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems, alleging corruption in a $1.8bn fighter jet deal. The complaint accuses the companies of bribing officials to secure contracts for engines and radar equipment. Rolls-Royce has previously paid $800m to settle corruption allegations in the UK, US and Brazil.
