Taliban Enforces Ban on Women at Band-e-Amir National Park in Afghanistan
The acting Minister of Virtue and Vice in Afghanistan has requested religious clerics and security agencies to ban women from visiting Band-e-Amir National Park due to their alleged non-observance of hijab. The minister stated that women should be prevented from entering the park until a procedure is established, emphasizing that going on a trip is not obligatory. However, local religious clerics argue that these women are not residents of Bamiyan and that the government should address the issue. Band-e-Amir National Park is a popular tourist destination in Afghanistan.
