Sixers edge Jazz to cap road trip as Barlow injures ankle
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Utah Jazz 126-116 to finish a 2-1 Western Conference road trip, overcoming early turnovers and a rough stretch to win behind a late surge and free throws as Utah, tanking to protect a pick, kept it tight. Jazz rookie Ace Bailey delivered 25 points (with a career-high five blocks) in the third quarter, while Sixers reserves like Trendon Watford provided key scoring as Dominick Barlow exited early with a left ankle sprain. Jabari Walker could absorb some of Barlow’s minutes, and with Paul George nearing a no-restriction return from suspension, Philly heads home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder.
