Double fatal crash on SR-60 in Polk County injures high school students.

Two people died and four others were injured in a major crash on SR-60 in Polk County, Florida. A Bartow High School senior was seriously injured when an SUV crossed into her path while turning onto another road. The occupants of the SUV were construction workers who were carpooling to their job site. Traffic homicide detectives are working to figure out who was driving the SUV at the time of the crash. The Florida Department of Transportation plans to conduct "educational outreach" in the area regarding safety.
