The U.S. EPA has confirmed that certain versions of the Tesla Cybertruck will qualify for the $7,500 EV tax credit, specifically the Cyberbeast model with an MSRP limit of $80,000. However, the Cybertruck's starting price of $39,900 has increased to $79,990 for the All-Wheel Drive model. The production version of the Cybertruck is estimated to have a range of 340 EPA miles, lower than the originally promised "500+ miles." Tesla's focus on vertical integration and domestic sourcing aligns with the revamped EV tax credit, which emphasizes American-made EVs. Not all Tesla models will qualify for the tax credit, as the base LFP version of the Model 3, which relies on foreign-made cells, is excluded.
