Odesa Welcomes Beachgoers Again After Russian Invasion
Several beaches in Ukraine's Black Sea city of Odesa have reopened for swimming for the first time since the start of the Russian invasion, although bathing is prohibited during air raid alerts. Odesa, Ukraine's largest port and naval base, was heavily attacked during the invasion, resulting in the closure of the coast due to safety concerns. The decision to reopen the beaches was made jointly by the city's civilian and military administrations, with safety measures in place such as anti-mine nets.
