Trump to wave the green flag at DC IndyCar street race and ride in the Beast
U.S. President Donald Trump will wave the green flag and take a lap around Washington’s 1.7-mile street course in the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix, piloting the armored presidential limo 'Beast' with a full motorcade following and First Lady Melania in attendance. The FAA will close airspace over Reagan National Airport during race hours as the 147-lap event traverses landmarks like the National Archives, National Gallery, Smithsonian and the Capitol. IROC will join IndyCar as a support series, with Indy NXT not on the bill.
