Ducks Crush Undermanned Sharks 6-2 in Preseason Opener
The Anaheim Ducks defeated the San Jose Sharks 6-2 in their 2026 preseason opener at Honda Center. Beckett Sennecke scored a hat trick, while Leo Carlsson and Jackson LaCombe also found the back of the net. The Ducks, returning from their first playoff appearance in eight years, showcased a deep roster with new signings like Roger McQueen and Laurent Brossoit. The Sharks, fielding a mix of AHL prospects and veterans, struggled to compete against the NHL-level Ducks, managing only two goals from Eric Pohlkamp and Jimmy Huntington.
