Nebraska lands Belmont forward Sam Orme in transfer portal swoop
Nebraska landed 6'9/6'10 forward Sam Orme from Belmont via the NCAA transfer portal. Orme averaged 12.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG and shot 39.7% from three this season, earning All-MVC Second Team after a 22-point game against Drake and helping Belmont reach the postseason. He chose the Huskers over Kansas State after Belmont coach Casey Alexander left. Nebraska is retooling after graduating Mast and Lawrence; Pryce Sandfort’s NBA Draft decision could further shape the Huskers’ scoring outlook this offseason.
