K-State Names Casey Alexander to Lead Men’s Basketball
Kansas State has hired Casey Alexander, formerly Belmont’s head coach, as the program’s 27th head men’s basketball coach on a five-year contract starting at $3.3 million for 2026-27 with annual raises. Alexander, who owns a 303-180 career record and led Belmont to six conference championships, brings a history of 20-win seasons and postseason appearances across Stetson, Lipscomb and Belmont. He’ll be formally introduced March 16, and takes over a K-State team that finished 12-20 (3-15 in Big 12) in 2025-26, as the Wildcats aim to rebound under his offensive-minded leadership.
