Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has halted the production of new state license plates following public backlash over their design, which some residents felt resembled the colors of the University of Missouri. In response, Kansans have taken it upon themselves to create alternative designs, with one Reddit user's design receiving over 100 positive reactions. The McPherson Police Department and a local graphic design business have also shared their own designs based on resident feedback.
