Black bear attack shuts down Saskatchewan uranium-site operations
A 27-year-old independent contractor was killed in a black bear attack at a uranium exploration site in northern Saskatchewan. In response, UraniumX Discovery Corp paused operations at its Zoo Bay property as investigators from the Wildlife Human Attack Response Team examine the incident. The bear was euthanized on scene and sent for a necropsy; authorities urged residents to limit attractants to reduce bear encounters.
