Blues Legends Set to Light Up Oscars Stage for Sinners Tribute
The 98th Academy Awards will feature a blues-centered performance tied to the film Sinners, with Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq performing the Oscar-nominated song “I Lied To You” alongside a lineup of blues icons and contemporary artists including Buddy Guy, Eric Gales, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Bobby Rush, plus Brittany Howard, Shaboozey and Alice Smith; Misty Copeland, Jayme Lawson and Li Jun Li will also appear. The segment aims to showcase multiple generations of blues and roots artists on the Oscars stage, airing March 15 on ABC and streaming via Hulu with Conan O’Brien hosting.
