Lobster-spot clash leads to attempted murder charge in Miami diver incident
Michael Joseph Simpson, 51, of Miami Beach, is charged with second-degree attempted murder after allegedly turning off a teenage diver’s air supply during a dispute over a lobster fishing spot near Fisher Island; the teen was rescued, Simpson surrendered on Aug. 4, video evidence exists, and his bond was set at $10,000 as he pleads not guilty.
