Unknown Actor Emerges as Dark-Horse Front-Runner for Bond 26
Unknown actor Jack Barton, who had a small role in Poor Things, has emerged as a surprise frontrunner to become the next James Bond, with screen tests set to begin in early September under Bond 26 director Denis Villeneuve and casting director Nina Gold. The shortlist reportedly includes Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, and Harris Dickinson, while veteran Bond casting director Debbie McWilliams argues the role should go to a newcomer to preserve the enigmatic spy.
