Mets move Brazobán to White Sox for two pitching prospects
The Mets traded reliever Huascar Brazobán to the Chicago White Sox for two minor-league pitchers, Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin. Brazobán’s value is tempered by age concerns despite strong 2025–26 performance, prompting the Mets to flip him for upside as they reset their bullpen. Davis is a tall right-hander with a 94–97 mph fastball and a sharp slider, while Franklin, a 2023 draftee, owns lofty strikeout potential but has yet to prove himself consistently at Triple-A level. For both teams, the move adds potential upside—Mets’ long-term bullpen depth and White Sox’s lottery-ticket arms.
