"Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Bedard to Miss 6-8 Weeks After Jaw Surgery"
Chicago Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard will be out for six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery for a fractured jaw sustained from a hit by New Jersey Devils defenseman Brendan Smith. This rules him out of potentially becoming the youngest player ever in the NHL All-Star Game. Bedard, who leads NHL rookies in goals and assists, joins a list of injured forwards for the Blackhawks, including Nick Foligno, Anthony Beauvillier, Tyler Johnson, and Andreas Athanasiou.
