"28 Elite Clients Face Charges in Massachusetts Brothel Bust"
A federal task force is seeking state criminal charges against 28 individuals accused of buying sex from a brothel ring that operated in Cambridge, Watertown, and the Washington, D.C. suburbs. The identities of the accused have not been disclosed, but authorities previously mentioned that elected officials, government contractors, and military officers were among the clients. The investigation is ongoing, and if probable cause is established, referrals will be made to the Middlesex district attorney's office. The alleged operators of the brothels have already been arrested and charged. The trafficked women, predominantly Asian, have not been charged.
