Lahaina Residents Return to Reopened Burn Zone After Wildfires
The heart of Lahaina, the historic Maui town that was devastated by a deadly wildfire in August, has reopened to residents and business owners who hold a day pass. The burn zone, which includes Front Street and other areas, was closed for several months as recovery efforts took place. The wildfire, which killed at least 100 people, was the deadliest in the United States in over a century.
