Miraculous Escape: Survivors of Terrifying Chowchilla School Bus Kidnapping Resurface
Survivors of the infamous Chowchilla bus kidnapping, in which 26 children and their bus driver were abducted and buried alive in a makeshift bunker in 1976, have spoken about their harrowing ordeal ahead of the release of a new documentary. The film features interviews with survivors detailing their incredible escape and the lasting impact the traumatic event has had on their lives. The kidnappers' scheme was foiled when the bus driver, Ed Ray, and 14-year-old Michael Marshall led an escape. The perpetrators were later apprehended and received life sentences, with two of them being paroled in recent years.
