Polish bus route changes number after Christian protests
A bus route to the town of Hel on Poland's Baltic coast, numbered 666, has been changed to 669 after Christian conservatives protested against the use of a number signifying the devil on a bus leading to a place that sounds like the word "hell" in English. The bus company, PKS Gdynia, announced the change under pressure from Christian groups, but is already considering returning to the old number amid public outcry. The route had operated under the number 666 since 2006, first as a local joke, before attracting riders from across Poland and beyond.
