Canon Announces Free Summer Firmware Upgrades for Cinema EOS Lineup
Canon has announced free firmware updates for its Cinema EOS lineup—the EOS C400, C80, C70, C50, and R5C—adding USB control protocols for Start/Stop remote operation, adjustments to shutter, ISO, iris, and focus, improved SRT streaming with auto-reconnect, and a new Level display UI. The updates are expected to arrive in Summer 2026 ahead of NAB 2026, and are aimed at enhancing live production power and on-set workflow.
