Shark attack injures tourist during Bahamas dolphin tour near Bimini
A 37-year-old Austrian tourist was seriously injured when she was bitten by a shark during a dolphin-watching excursion about three nautical miles off North Bimini, Bahamas. She was airlifted to Nassau for treatment. Bahamian waters host multiple shark species, including Caribbean reef sharks. The incident follows a July Shark encounter in the same area, when a 69-year-old American snorkeler was bitten.
