Catalina Mountains Wildfire Continues to Burn with No Containment
A wildfire, now called the Ventana Fire, has started in the Catalina Mountains, Arizona, with 0% containment and has grown to 50 acres. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but lightning was in the area last night. Firefighters, smoke jumpers, air tankers are all on scene with additional resources en route. Some trail heads are closed, but no evacuations are expected at this time.
