Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg held a press conference after former President Donald Trump's arraignment, stating that Trump repeatedly made false statements on business records in New York to cover up other crimes. Bragg accused Trump, executives at American Media Incorporated, Michael Cohen, and others of agreeing to a "catch and kill" scheme in 2015 to suppress negative information that could hurt Trump's chances of winning the 2016 presidential election. Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges.
