Caturus Secures FID and $9.75B Financing for Cameron LNG Plant
Caturus announced a positive Final Investment Decision for the Commonwealth LNG export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, closing $9.75 billion in project financing as part of roughly $21.25 billion in total commitments, and set Phase 1 operations to begin by 2030 with an expected >$3 billion in annual export revenue. The financing includes new equity from Mubadala Energy and CPP Investments alongside existing partners like Kimmeridge, with long-term offtake agreements from EQT, Glencore, Mercuria, PETRONAS and Aramco Trading, and EPC work by Technip Energies to deliver an integrated wellhead-to-water LNG project on the U.S. Gulf Coast, while expanding upstream gas production through related acquisitions.
