Cowboys Open to First-Round WR If Value Aligns With the Board
Dallas’s two first-round picks (12 and 20) could be spent on a wide receiver if the value fits, but the club will still prioritize shoring up a league-worst defense. The Cowboys have a history of taking the best player on the board, as they did with CeeDee Lamb in 2020, and they’ve hosted WR prospects Jordyn Tyson and Carnell Tate ahead of the draft. While George Pickens is on a franchise tag and unlikely to be signed long-term, a trade isn’t ruled out, but the primary question remains whether a WR in Round 1 makes sense given the defensive needs and the draft board.
