Apple Introduces New USB-C Charge Cables, Impact on iPhone Compatibility and Safety
Apple has released new USB-C charge cables, including a 60W 1-meter cable and a 240W 2-meter cable, designed for charging iPhone 15 models, iPads, and Macs. The cables support charging, syncing, and data transfer between USB-C devices, with the 240W cable offering faster charging capabilities. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have a USB-C port but limited data transfer speeds, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support USB 3 data transfer speeds. Apple has also made its Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable available in a shorter size for the higher-end iPhone 15 models.
