Major Automakers Embrace Tesla's Charging Standard for Electric Vehicles
BMW and Toyota have announced that they will switch to the North American Charging System (NACS) plug for their future electric vehicles (EVs) in North America, replacing the Combined Charging Standard 1 (CCS1) socket. This change will also grant their EV drivers access to Tesla's Supercharger network. However, Volkswagen Group and Stellantis are the remaining holdouts, with brands like Audi, Porsche, and Alfa Romeo still sticking with CCS1 for now.
