Linton sidelined as Georgia cruises to season-opening win
Georgia opened with a 63-3 win over Tennessee State, but redshirt freshman Chase Linton did not dress due to a lower-leg injury, with coach Kirby Smart hopeful for a quick return. The Bulldogs racked up 660 offensive yards and logged 3 sacks as part of a better pass rush. Drew Bobo played with a large black club on his left hand, Gabe Harris returned from a toe injury and pressured the quarterback, Jontae Gilbert wore a sling after surgery, and USC transfer Braylon Conley came off the bench as Ellis Robinson and Demello Jones started at corner. Georgia will host Western Kentucky next Saturday at 12:45 p.m. on SEC Network.
