Deadly Shooting at Moldova's Chisinau Airport: Gunman Kills Two After Entry Denied
Two people have been killed and one wounded after a 43-year-old Tajikistan national opened fire at Chisinau International Airport in Moldova. The gunman, who had arrived from Turkey and was denied entry, seized a gun from a border police officer and carried out the attack. Flights in and out of the airport have been grounded, and Moldova has been on alert following accusations by President Maia Sandu of a Russian plot to overthrow her government. The country faces tensions with its pro-Moscow breakaway region of Transnistria.
