Rep. Trujillo Resigns from Legislature.
State Rep. Christine Trujillo, a retired educator and advocate for policies to improve access to health care and education, has announced her resignation from the New Mexico House of Representatives after serving for five terms. Trujillo worked with high school students to pass a bill for free menstrual hygiene products in public schools and co-sponsored a bill to expand school-based health centers. The Bernalillo County Commission will appoint a new House member to serve the remainder of Trujillo's term.
