Ram Reboots the ProMaster City on a Proven European Van Backbone
Ram is reviving the ProMaster City for 2027 by using a European-built van platform shared across Citroën, Fiat, Peugeot, Opel, Toyota and others. The rebadged van will be assembled in Bursa, Türkiye, with a 1.6-liter inline-four producing 166 hp and 221 lb-ft, offering about 167 cubic feet of cargo space, a 2,000 lb payload and 2,000 lb tow capacity. It can be ordered as cargo or passenger with five or eight seats, and will be offered in two trims with a base price under $40,000. Stellantis is leveraging a proven, widely-sold platform to fill a midsize van gap that disappeared after 2023, banking on demand from fleet and trades.
