Guardians DFA Kolby Allard Amid Roster Shuffle and IL Returns
Cleveland reinstated George Valera and Hunter Gaddis from the injured list, optioned CJ Kayfus to Triple-A, and designated left-hander Kolby Allard for assignment, trimming the 40-man roster to 39. Allard, who had a 65-inning, 2.63 ERA season last year, has been limited this year and allowed 10 runs in 8 2/3 innings; the Guardians are expected to place him on waivers again, with a likelihood he clears and re-signs him to a minor-league deal if desired.
