California private schools Harvey Mudd (No. 3), Caltech (No. 6), and Claremont McKenna (No. 9) also cracked the top 10, highlighting a strong CA presence. The ranking weights student outcomes at 75%, learning environment at 15%, and attractiveness at 10%, using IPEDS and the Education Department’s College Scorecard data.
