NYC’s AMC Kips Bay to Close Doors by End of 2026
Variety reports that AMC Kips Bay 15, Manhattan’s second-largest multiplex (15 screens, including an Imax), will close at the end of 2026 after the property owner exercised its right to terminate the lease. AMC has operated the venue since 2006, and a formal closure date will be announced later. The shutdown would reduce Manhattan’s theater options as other locations remain.
