Scientists from Boston University, UC Berkeley, and Northwestern University have developed the world's first electronic–photonic–quantum system on a chip using a standard 45-nanometer CMOS process, enabling stable, scalable quantum light sources integrated directly on-chip, which marks a significant step toward practical quantum computing and communication systems.
