Top US Beaches of 2023: Hawaii and Florida Dominate Annual Ranking.
"Dr. Beach" Stephen Leatherman has released his list of the top 10 US beaches for 2023, with half of them located in Florida and Hawaii. St. George Island State Park in Florida took the top spot, followed by Duke Kahanamoku Beach in Hawaii. Leatherman uses 50 criteria to evaluate public beaches, including sand softness, water temperature, and wildlife. Other beaches on the list are located in New York, North Carolina, California, South Carolina, and Massachusetts.
